Free event in Glasgow: Film screening of ‘Love & Trouble’

We are delighted to share an exclusive Film Screening of ‘Love & Trouble’ by Amy Hardie organised by staff on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme (DClinPsy) at the University of Glasgow. This has been organised in collaboration with Amy, who has very generously offered to come to Glasgow and showcase her film to mark the start of Mental Health Awareness Week 2026.

The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion attended by experts working in clinical practice and academia, as well as Amy herself. The panel discussion will be chaired by Professor Rory O’Connor.

The film is about a couple who suffered significant adversity in childhood and through their military career, which have resulted in suicidal ideation and attempts to end their life. You can watch the trailer below

The event will take place on the Monday 11th of May between 5.30pm-8:00pm at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow (there is a map within the registration link). Please make sure that you register by clicking here
